Reading the New Testament


I want to encourage you to join me in a 9 week reading and seeking adventure. I'll be reading through the New Testament during January and February, following the reading plan below. I also want to encourage you to designate times of fasting while we do this. Jesus made it clear that fasting would be important to our spiritual health as we wait for his return. Let's use designated times each week to seek Jesus as we read the stories about him and the gospel of the kingdom which he came to proclaim. If you've never fasted before, or haven't for a while, I encourage you to start with short, easy ventures; set aside blocks of time. Also, during this time we want to pray for fresh insights (revelation) into our experience of his Spirit and his direction for our lives.

Week 1- Mark, Matthew, John
Week 2- Luke, Acts
Week 3- 1Corinthians, 2Corinthians
Week 4- Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians
Week 5- 1&2 Thessalonians, 1&2 Timothy, Titus
Week 6- Philemon, Hebrews, James
Week 7- 1&2 Peter
Week 8- 1,2&3 John, Jude
Week 9- Revelation
