GDOP Day 4: Transform

Day 4: Transform

"For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God." -Romans 8:21-23

This world is broken. It is in bondage to sin, sickness and decay. Governments, societies, nations and cultures are all in different stages of corruption and fallenness, just as is every human apart from the saving and transforming work of Christ. Only through Jesus are we taken from darkness into light, from broken, sinful hearts to hearts made new and clean by the power of the Spirit.

There is one hope for this decaying world. Jesus. Only with the return of Jesus will this world be fully transformed and brought into its fullness and the perfection that was lost. As the body of Jesus on the earth, we are to continue what he started and be about transformation and redemption in all spheres of society, by the power of His Spirit, until He comes and makes "all things new."
